IPR Awards: Championing Excellence

The IPR Awards is a prestigious event that celebrates the exceptional achievements of the money transfer community’s best and brightest. Money Service Businesses, such as Money Transfer Operators, Exchange Houses, Banks, Fintechs, and Telcos, are invited to enter themselves for individual award categories by submitting a category specific entry that addresses the criteria outlined by the Judging Panel.

This year’s finalists have been announced, with the awards ceremony scheduled to take place on Tuesday 17th September 2024, London, UK.

Award Categories

Innovation Award

The Innovation award is open to all money service businesses, including MTOs, Banks, FinTechs and Telcos, who can demonstrate significant, tangible contributions to the money transfer industry within the past five years.

The recipient will present noticeable achievements in one or all of the following; new product growth, employee growth, innovative use of technology to improve processes, industry recognition, and innovative marketing.

Exceptional Customer Experience Award

This category celebrates organisations that serve their customers the best. The exceptional customer experience award is open to all money service businesses, including MTOs, Banks, FinTechs and Telcos, who can demonstrate how they put their customers at the heart of what they do.

The recipient will illustrate how they have managed to delight their customers and maintained an exceptional customer experience.

Social Impact Award

The social impact award is open to all money service businesses that have successfully embedded social objectives into their strategy and are making a substantial positive impact in financial inclusion or financial know-how of customers.

The recipient will clearly explain the strategy, how it is being lived out, and its near and long-term objectives. In addition, the entry should provide case studies and the results achieved.

Start-Up of the Year

The Start-Up of the Year Award celebrates innovative money service businesses operating for less than three years, that have introduced groundbreaking solutions, transformed the industry or solved a problem. Nominees should demonstrate exceptional growth, innovation, and impact, with a clear strategy, strong team, and sustainable growth plan.

This award recognises start-ups’ potential to create transformative solutions and drive innovation and growth in the money transfer industry.

Company of the Year

The Company of the Year Award honours an exceptional business that has made significant contributions to the money transfer industry. Nominees should have a proven track record of leadership, outstanding vision in innovation, and evidence of this organisation’s positive impacts within the payments and remittances space.

As our most prestigious award, this recognises the exceptional achievements of the recipient, demonstrating the dedication, hard work, and inspiring actions taken to drive innovation and achieve extraordinary results.

A representative from the submitting company must attend IPR Global 2024 in person, to be eligible to win.

Increase visibility of your achievements and forge valuable connections

Award Process and Judging Panel

All entries delivered by the deadline are presented to members of the Judging Panel. The Panel is comprised of a group acknowledged as leading independent experts from various money transfer and payments related professions.

The Panel members review the entries and rank their individual preferences in ascending order, with 1 as the highest rank. The entrants are placed in order, starting with the lowest average score (the highest ranked firm).

The Panel then discusses and evaluates the list of finalists, from which it chooses a winner in each Award category. The IPR Awards feature three classes of the leading organisations in each Award category: commended, finalist and winner.
